Shane’s House is our structured recovery house located on the property adjacent to Little Creek Lodge. We created this structured home to help residents build a strong foundation in the early processes of recovery. Shane’s House gives residents the time and accountability they need to work on their recovery while maintaining focus on their personal and professional goals. Here, adult men will learn what it means to truly grow and become empowered.
All potential residents will be interviewed prior to admission to make sure they are clinically appropriate and a good fit for the house.
Residents of Shane’s House are allowed to stay in our structured sober living program for three months. Residents or family will be required to pay monthly rent during this time.
Included in the monthly rent is:
Residents at Shane’s House are required to take an active role in their recovery by attending and participating in Little Creek Outpatient Services. LCOPS accept most major insurances and is in-network with Geisinger Health Plan and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. LCOPS is also contracted with CCBH (Medicaid) and our local SCA, the Wayne County Drug and Alcohol Commission.
All residents of Shane’s House are required to attend daily 12-step meetings, have a home group, and be actively working with a sponsor. All of these requirements must be completed while maintaining their own scheduled outpatient appointments. Resident’s will have easy access to the daily meetings at Rule 62, an AA Clubhouse on the adjacent property. All residents of Shane’s House must be enrolled in school or seeking employment. All residents have a daily curfew of 11:00 pm, must be willing to submit to random drug testing, as well as attend weekly house meetings with the House Manager. The resident’s at Shane’s House are responsible for the upkeep of their home, as well as the buying and cooking of all their own meals. Each resident’s family member(s) will receive weekly check-in phone calls going over progress, behaviors, and any concerns. Residents are permitted to have their cars, phones, computers, and other various luxuries at this level of care.
Little Creek Recovery has always supported time spent outdoors, and residents from Shane’s House are invited and encouraged to take advantage of the track and field area, volleyball court, basketball court, on-site gym, and various other amenities the program offers. We also have a firepit on the property for residents to use and enjoy.
Aside from all the beauty Northeastern Pennsylvania has to offer, there are a number of reasons why Shane’s House might be the best choice for your needs.
Shane’s House was designed for men for men who are internally motivated for recovery but would benefit from further structure and guidance as they transition back into the community. We offer a few programs within Shane’s House to assist resident’s with budgeting, help with local employment, and work towards discharge planning. The ultimate goal of Shane’s House is to help adult men find themselves again, so they can reintegrate into society. More often than not men in this situation need to learn how to live again. Here, they can learn what it is to have responsibilities and how to be held accountable for their actions, so they can take those tools and build a new foundation for themselves when they leave.
Here, you will never be a treatment number, you will always be a member of our community and our family. We will give you the tools you need to assist you on your path to a sober and happy life.
At Little Creek Lodge, we light the path and show the way; the rest is up to you.
